PC Vive DS (Desktop Series) is a hardware product specifically built to utilize the PCI slot on a computer system.  The laptop architecture does not include a PCI slot so the PC Vive DS solution will not work for laptops.  The good news is, for that reason we have PC Vive ES (Electronic Series).  PC Vive ES works on desktops, laptops and tablets.  PC Vive ES is a software based solution with no dependency on hardware.
